Killer Granola-Jacks are so named (by my 8-year-old daughter) because they are a cross between a UK style flapjack or oat cookie and a bowl of granola. Made with oats, various nuts and seeds and sweetened with syrup and molasses, they are a delicious treat to have with tea or pretty much anytime! There are three different flavours:
- Cashew nuts and raisins (vegan)
- Pecan and cranberries (vegan)
- Salted caramel sauce and white chocolate chips (made with butter, cream, caramel syrup and chocolate)
The extra ingredients are put in the middle of the Jacks so you get a slightly crispy, crunchy outer bite then a chewy middle! I recommend having them slightly warm, to increase the chewiness.
They can be frozen or stored in the fridge – they will be fine out of the fridge for a few days but if the weather is very hot the chocolate might melt…
Oats, sunflower seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, cashew nuts, coconut oil, syrup, a small amount of brown sugar and a pinch of salt, all mixed together.
The oats are produced in a facility that also produces wheat so cannot be guaranteed gluten free. Contains nuts.
